This important initiative addresses the readiness gap of preschool age dual language learners by supporting a strong literacy base in the early years in both the home language and English, and introducing strategies to strengthen culturally meaningful family-teacher partnerships.
This important book explores how education time can be expanded, reimagined, and reorganized in an effort to enhance the educational opportunities and outcomes of disadvantaged students. The editors and contributors address questions of educational equity and opportunity by considering how best to extend learning time in high-poverty schools.

We are pleased to announce that the Gardner Center has joined the National Network of Education Research-Practice Partnerships (NNERPP). Launched by the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University in January 2016, NNERPP aims to support and develop partnerships between education agencies and research institutions in order to improve the connections between research, policy, and practice. We look forward to learning from and contributing to the NNERPP blog on EdWeek and participating alongside our peers at the annual forum.
