Dear Friends,

Sweet Blues at the PMA
Thank you all so much for making the Sweet Blues program at the Portland Museum of Art such a success!  It was great to look out and see the packed house.  I'm excited to tell you we are working to bring another music-related film by Bob Sarles to the Festival in March.  This one is called Bang!  a biographical documentary about  Bert Berns, who wrote hits such as "Twist and Shout, " Hang on Sloopy," and "Piece of my Heart."  Stay tuned for more info.

While we are busy planning for the film festival in March, we want to make you aware of a number of interesting film events happening in the next few weeks.  One we are particularly excited about is a showing of Eva Hesse in partnership with the Portland Museum of Art in November. See below for more on the film; we will send time and program details in our next newsletter.

As we launch into our 20 th anniversary season, we look to you to provide the support that allows us to present high quality films based on the global Jewish experience.   Please consider making a donation to help us - either by responding to our recent appeal mailing or by making an on-line donation.  We really appreciate your generosity.

With warm regards,

Barbara Merson

Our annual appeal is underway and we hope you will contribute to our 20th anniversary year. Your generosity is crucial to our continued success. Please return our annual appeal letter or donate online with Paypal Thank you!
