How do I know if it's time to update our online profile?

looking at screen

Your organization's profile should be updated anytime you have new environmental practices or results to share.  After all, your profile is visible to the public and you want it to look good, right?  At a mimimum, Registry members are asked to update their profile at least every three years to stay on the membership list. Check HERE to see if it's time for your organization to update its profile and for instructions on how to update.

What more can I do to promote and market my organization?

 ftc

Consider placing a link on your company website to your Registry profile. Your profile is a great way to tell your story in an easy-to-read format.   Remember that when it comes to environmental messaging, stick to clear, accurate and substantiated claims. It's more effective, and it's also the law. In response to demand from both consumers and businesses for a more transparent approach to green marketing, the Federal Trade Commission released green marketing guidelines in November 2012 that prohibit marketers from making "general environmental benefit claims."  For a summary of the FTC Green Guides, click here
