SPARK! The Green Bay Art Colony

SPARK! is a cultural program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. Programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity through engaging in museum experiences. 

In this program, meet current artists from the Art Colony, learn about their pieces in this annual show, and take part in an art project of your own.

Hardcore History: Cuba: So Close, Yet So Far

Over the years U.S. relations with Cuba have been fraught with conflict, misunderstanding, and by a lasting desire by citizens of both countries to normalize relations with peace and openness. Professor Littig will also talk about the differences between the two countries, as well as about the cultures which we share, and photos from a recent trip to Cuba.

Presented by David M. Littig, professor emeritus in political science, University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. David was born in Puerto Rico and was raised throughout Latin America, having lived in Puerto Rico, Cuba, Uruguay, Guatemala, Colombia, Panama, Brazil, as well as in New York City, Miami and Kalamazoo, Michigan. He received his B.A. from Indiana University, M.A. and Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin – Madison. He also studied at Harvard and University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil. In addition to university teaching for over 30 years, he has worked and traveled widely throughout Latin America, Europe, and China.

Program starts at 6:00 p.m. and will last about one hour. Free with your regular museum admission, including free admission for Friends of the Neville .

Neville Cellar Series: Hochgreve Muenchener
The newest season of the Neville Cellar Series celebrates Green Bay’s historic brewing heritage by creating a Munchener inspired by Hochgreve Brewing Company.

A guest brew master from Stillmank Brewing Co. in Green Bay will share his brewing expertise and samples of their delicious beer.  

Get hands-on and take a deep dive into Green Bay’s fermented past, present and future.  

Brewing: Tuesday, March 6: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Bottling: Thursday, March 27: 6:00 - 7:30 pm
