Making Ohio a Healthier Place to Live and Work
Governor John R. Kasich's 2018-2019 budget directs funding toward Ohio's greatest health challenges, including maternal and infant health, mental health and addiction, and chronic disease. It also invests in the underlying, cross-cutting drivers of well-being, including jobs, education, health care coverage, and healthy behaviors. The purpose of these investments is to make Ohio a model of health and economic vitality, and support a healthier workforce for a stronger economy.

Governor Kasich's Budget:
Sets clear priorities for health improvement
Strengthens public health infrastructure
Maintains health care coverage for low-income Ohioans
Increases access to comprehensive primary care
Promotes student success through better health
Prioritizes reducing drug abuse and overdose deaths
Improves health through economic vitality
