The way we play golf has changed over the years. In the past, weekend golf was a male dominated activity. Men who worked all week played their golf on Saturdays and Sundays, women and children were not allowed and they were limited to using the course on weekdays.
That is no longer the case. Casual golf, couples and family play have become more prevalent at clubs across the country. In an effort to get more into our already busy lives shorter rounds of nine holes have replaced the 18-hole round for many golfers.
Because of things like these we are seeing a change at RGC. The once highly coveted Saturday and Sunday morning time frame often has gaps of open tee times. To get more members playing on the weekend morning the Board of Directors has directed me to implement two new weekend policies.
1) Associate members who pay a $20 green fee will now have the opportunity to play on weekend mornings provided there is space available on the day before they wish to play, (Friday for Saturday & Saturday for Sunday).
2) Full members who wish to have guests on a weekend morning may due so with permission of the golf pro. The same 'day before' procedure will be followed.
We are hopeful that this will get more members utilizing the weekend mornings, if you have any questions on these policies please be sure to contact me or one of my staff.
