Take a trip back in time through fall foliage on mini track-work rail cars during the Bellefonte Fall Festival.
These speeder cars, owned by members of the Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society, are small track work cars used by railroads prior to the advent of Hi-Rail equipment (trucks with rail wheels).
This short speeder trip will run alongside Talleyrand Park from the Bellefonte Train Station to the PA Match Factory and back.
Rides run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 15, and are only $1 per rider. Tickets are available at the event.

Bellefonte Halloween Ride - Oct. 21
Kids can wear costumes and eat candy while a parade of characters entertains passengers on a spooky Halloween ride Oct. 21. The hour-long train rides on the Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad start at Bellefonte and end at the Fish Hatchery on Axemann Road. The $10 rides are at 6 and 8 p.m.
Bellefonte Fall Foliage Train Rides - Oct. 22, 23
Take a leisurely trip on the Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad at 10 a.m. on Oct. 22 from Bellefonte to Pleasant Gap for $15. At 1 p.m., another train ride ($30) goes from Bellefonte to Tyrone with a 1-hour layover in Tyrone. Explore the Tyrone Area Historical Society's museum, purchase snacks and baked goods, and observe freight and passenger trains on the Norfolk Southern mainline.
On Oct. 23, enjoy more fall foliage from Bellefonte to Sayers Dam at 1 or 4 p.m. Tickets are $20.
