Updates from the STAR² Center

The  STAR² Center (Solutions, Training, and Assistance for Recruitment and Retention) of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) provides free resources, training, and technical assistance (TA) related to recruitment and retention in community health centers.

STAR² Center staff have been busy fielding comments, answering questions, and scheduling individual technical assistance as health center workforce staff across the country have begun to interact with their updated Data Profile information. Head over to the Data Profile Information Center for supporting documents and tools for promoting this great resource through your communication channels!

We are excited to announce the upcoming release of the STAR² Center State Aggregate Reports to PCA and PCO partners. This non-confidential resource is meant to support state level observations of trends in health center workforce recruitment and retention. Keep an eye out for more information shortly! 

PCA and PCO partners are still encouraged to access their state's confidential health center profile information by contacting Mariah Blake for details.  
Coming to a Conference Near You: STAR² Center Learning Lab

The spring 2016 conference season is upon us and STAR² Center staff are excited to take part in a variety of conferences, presentations, workshops, and webinars in collaboration with regional conferences across the country. Check our training calendar to see where we will be next and contact us if you would like to bring STAR² Center training to your members.

The Sheps Center "seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services." Through their research, consultation, technical assistance, and training, the Sheps Center promotes advances in health care delivery and policy. 

The STAR² Center Resource Center regularly features research and programming created by the Sheps Center and are especially excited to share those created for their Program on Health Workforce Research and Policy
Each year every community health center program is required to submit data for HRSA's Uniform Data System (UDS). To help health centers prepare to submit data the National Health Care for the Homeless Council will host a presentation on Tuesday, May 3, at 3:00pm ET. Presenters will offer tips, suggestions, and other resources for submitting data using a variety of software options.
