Updates from the STAR² Center

The  STAR² Center (Solutions, Training, and Assistance for Recruitment and Retention) of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) provides free resources, training, and technical assistance (TA) related to recruitment and retention in community health centers. 

STAR² Center News
STAR² Center  experts will provide an in depth training for a small group of health center CEOs, CMOs, and HR Directors at the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved's 2016 Annual Conference. The training will include an overview of the STAR² Center Data Profiles, resources, and next steps for workforce growth. 

The session will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 9:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET and requires a separate registration from the ACU general conference registration. Registration is free for ACU 2016 attendees. Registration is open to individuals interested in attending only this session for a small fee to cover the cost of the room. Click here to learn more and to register to take part in this training.

Bring the STAR² Center to Your Members

In collaboration with regional partners across the country STAR² Center staff conduct trainings in a variety of settings to bring the resources and assistance offered by our experts to workforce staff in the field. With the fall 2016 conference season on the horizon, be sure to check our training calendar to see where you can find STAR² Center presentations, workshops, and webinars across the country and contact us if you would like to bring STAR² Center training to your members.

The Center for Interdisciplinary Health Workforce Studies' (The Center) mission is to measurably improve the performance of the health delivery enterprise of the national health care delivery system. The Center will contribute to these goals via a broad research program directed at the most pressing issues and trends specifically related to the healthcare workforce.

The STAR² Center recently added research conducted by the Center to our expanding Resource Center. We look forward to sharing more information from the Center in the future as we wok to address workforce needs across the country.
