City of Clermont Recognized at FFEA Conference

Please join us in congratulating The City of Clermont for winning 1 ^st Place for Promotional Mailer “Light Up Clermont” and 2 ^nd Place Promotional Item “Light Up Clermont” Sunsational Awards at this year’s FFEA Conference.

The Sunsational Awards recognizes Florida Festivals & Events Association members for their achievements in event marketing, programming, service and innovation. At this year's conference, there was a record number of more than 400 submissions for the Sunsational Awards and over 40 organizations representing 120 events were recognized.

Business After Hours Hosted at Stormy Hill Harley-Davidson

Thank you to everyone who came out to Business After Hours on Thursday, August 31 hosted at Stormy Hill Harley-Davidson . Chamber members and guests networked over appetizers & drinks and had the opportunity to earn their license to ride by test driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle! Door prizes provided by Stormy Hill Harley-Davidson and Computer Business Consultants were raffled out and $290 was raised in the 50/50 raffle. The 50/50 raffle helps raise funds to support student scholarships.

Downtown Drive For Texas

Due to the tragic flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey tens of thousands are left without a home, food, toiletries and so much more. The business owners of Downtown Clermont are coming together for a Downtown Drive for Texas.

Starting today, September 5th through Sunday, September 10th at 3 p.m. participating businesses will be accepting any donations to be delivered to Texas for those in need. Just look for a poster in the window that shows Drop Off Location Here.

MYTEK Lab is expanding into schools!

MYTEK Lab is partnering up with Pinecrest Lakes Academy and bringing MYTEK Lab to their students on Monday afternoons. Enrollment has already begun and filling up fast! They hope to continue to expand to other schools in the future.

Also, MyTEK Bot , their technology subscription curriculum kit, is now being shipped to 6 states every month! With MyTEK Bot's unique fundamental approach and a comprehensive look at technology as a whole, kids (and adults) get to build a robotic car from the ground up!

$3500 in Back-To-School Funds for Lake County Schools

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, SECO Energy is committed to supporting education in the school districts in its service area. As part of SECO’s new back-to school initiative, Lake County Schools is receiving $3,500 to enrich back-to-school activities in Lake County. READ MORE>>
