Paul Stefanowicz introduces his new book from the Acadia Images of America series: Tenafly.
Paul J. Stefanowicz is a Tenafly councilman and local historian. A lifelong resident of Tenafly, he uses his roots to provide a perspective of how the borough of Tenafly has moved through the second part of the 20th century and into the 21st. Join Paul Stefanowicz for a talk on how Tenafly has evolved from an Old Dutch farming community with unique estates owned by businessmen, mainly railroad executives, into a thriving New York suburb.

Author Visit with Wendy Lee

Author Wendy Lee shares insight into the writing of her three novels: Happy Family, Across a Green Ocean and The Art of Confidence. Readers are invited to stop by the Library in advance to check out one of Wendy's book. Light refreshments will be served and the evening will end with a door prize drawing for copies of The Art of Confidence.
A graduate of Stanford University and NYU's Creative Writing Program, Lee received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the Corporation of Yaddo. She spent more than a decade in the publishing industry as an editor at Harper Collins and Lantern Books, where she co-edited the anthology Defiant Daughters: 21 Women on Art, Activism, Animals, and the Sexual Politics of Meat. She has taught English in China, writing at the Asian American Writers' Workshop, and served as a mentor with Girls Write Now. A second-generation daughter of immigrants from China, Lee resides in Astoria, Queens with her husband and son. This program is co-sponsored by the Tenafly Library Friends.
