The Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council had a busy week last week! The weekend was particularly movie- themed, with both the Highland Park Independent Film Festival happening, and the Movie in the Park kicking off. The board voted to provide a Neighborhood Purpose Grant in the amount of $1,000 to help the film festival offset their rental costs at the Highland Theater. And, we co-hosted the movie night at Sycamore Grove Park, along with the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council and Councilman Gil Cedillo’s office. READ MORE

Los Angeles Animal Services is dedicated to the humane treatment and care of all animals within the City of Los Angeles. Each day, Animal Control Officers respond to alleged humane complaints of animal cruelty and abuse. Humane cases can range from leaving any animal (including, but not limited to: fowl/chickens, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc.) without food, water and/or shelter to more violent crimes which result in the injury or death of an animal.
