ORANGE THIS WEEK

SENIOR HIGH:
Sometimes following God feels a little complicated. With so many rules to remember, prayers to pray, and guidelines for how we're supposed to live, it's easy for it all to feel overwhelming. In this series, as we look at how Jesus kept faith simple, we'll see that it's really all about doing one thing-the greatest thing.

Week 3: Loving your life comes from knowing your worth.

Week 4: Move people from a category to a conversation.
Week 5: Let Jesus lead you toward love.

JUNIOR HIGH:
A five-week series about following the Greatest Commandment by loving God, others and ourselves.

Week 3: Our value is determined by God.

Week 4: Everyone matters to Jesus, so everyone should matter to us
Week 5: A relationship with Jesus fuels our love for God, others and ourselves.
Student Ministry Moment

As we are covering the series "The Greatest" on Sunday nights, we will have many discussions about the G.O.A.T (Greatest of all Time).

Last week the debate was over Michael Jordan and Lebron James but as I was talking to the students, I knew I had made a mistake. Muhammad Ali should have been the person that I talked about last week.

I happened to fall upon a video of a Jewish man talking about him on YouTube. He talked about their friendship and all of the amazing things he had done and the many ways he had touched his life. That man was none other than Billy Crystal giving the eulogy at Ali's funeral. It is a string of amazing and touching words that has the ability leave a legacy worth telling.

As we talk about friendship on Wednesday night and have just finished talking about the two Greatest commandments. I hope you will take time to watch THIS VIDEO and I hope that it makes you smile as much as it did me. Your neighbor can be from many different places, look many different ways and have many different Ideologies, but at the end of it all building bridges not walls is the best way to share the love that God has given us.

Blessings and Thank You,
John McClure

EAT THE MENU
Sunday, October 7th
4:00 - 6:00 pm

Let's finish off rival week (DHS vs PHS) with the possibility of your team taking home the crown. The cost for this event will be $15.00 per participant. This will cover the cost of menu items each team will be eating!  Remaining proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Form your team of ten people, or we will help you find a team.  This is going to be a blast, invite friends!
Here is the link to register for Eat the Menu.

Make note of the time.  This is an hour earlier than our usual Sunday evening so that we will not miss the kick-off of the Texans vs. Cowboys at 7:00 pm.
