Give Meaning to Your New Year's Resolutions
as a GOTR SoleMate!
Do you want your New Year's Resolutions to not only positively impact your life, but change the lives of others? Use your resolutions for good and let us help you meet your personal training goals by joining our SoleMates team this spring! SoleMates are a dynamic, fun-loving, fitness minded group of Girls on the Run supporters who train for a race, while raising funds to expand our life changing youth development program to new girls and schools.

This year, our SoleMates will be targeting the Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and ½ Marathon or a Ragnar Relay Race (Northwest Passages, Trail Rainier, or BOTH!). As a SoleMate, not only will you make lifelong fitness buddies, but you'll be making a difference in the lives of girls locally. The best part? We take care of all your race logistics! We'll cover registration fees, as well as provide transportation, snacks, and a tech t-shirt for the event. Don't delay, register solo or with a friend today!

We ended 2017 on a High Note

Thank you to our generous community for helping us close 2017 on a high note! During our annual year-end campaign, your contributions combined to raise over $20,000 to support our expansion into new schools and teams during our upcoming spring season! That’s over 10 teams of girls who will receive FULL scholarships thanks to your thoughtful support. YOU make the finish line moment possible for girls in our community. Energy cheers to all our fantastic supporters!
Meet January's Girl Hero
Superstar Supporter and Veteran Coach, Jia Yu
We are thrilled to honor Jia Yu as our girl hero this month! Jia has been involved with GOTR Puget Sound since 2015 and previously volunteered for Girls on the Run Bay Area. She began coaching with us in the Fall 2015 and since that time, she has helped more than 60 Puget Sound girls learn valuable life skills and envision their limitless potential!

Jia doesn't just ensure that girls on her own team are set up for success. Last year, she volunteered as a Pacer to provide 3 other teams with the support necessary to help their girls cross the finish line. This involved calling and emailing other coaches to check in and confirm they had the necessary tools and materials to reach their girls with positive and confidence boosting messages.
