I hope you had a wonderful weekend and had a chance to share the joy of reading with your family.  It is hard to believe that we are in the middle of October. The power of optimism and determination remains in the air, as we all work hard to achieve dreams, and grow.  

There is a great deal of important information in this NewsFlash. Be sure to come out Tuesday night to meet the 6 candidates running for the BT Board of Education.  Also, mark your calendar for this Saturday. The Mayor's Annual Health Fair will take place. Our first Falcon Flyer for the year will arrive in your inbox on Thursday.

Fight for the Cure


Tuesday, October 17th the JV and Varsity Girls' Soccer Teams will
"Play for the Cure".

JV plays at 3:45 at the Hopkins Soccer Field

Varsity plays at 6:30 at the Westampton Turf Field.

the privilege of electing members for 3 open positions on the Board of
Education. The Burlington Township Foundation has invited the
candidates to participate and is pleased to present this community
awareness program to provide our residents the opportunity to meet the
candidates before heading out to the polls. At the forum, you will have
the opportunity to present questions to the candidates - either in writing

NO DOGS ALLOWED
Everyone is reminded that as per Board Policy 7490, dogs are not permitted on school property. This policy also applies for sporting events.

7490- ANIMALS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
The Board of Education will make every reasonable effort to maintain school grounds in a condition appropriate for the activities of school pupils.

Pet animals are not permitted on school district grounds, except by the express permission of the School Business Administrator or Designee. Without such permission, a pet owner who brings or permits his/her animal on school grounds has committed an act of trespass. If an animal is found running at large on school grounds, its owner will be deemed to have permitted the animal to enter school property.
 
The Board directs the School Business Administrator or Designee to give notice regarding the prohibition of pets by posting appropriate signs on school property.  The School Business Administrator or Designee shall report to the appropriate municipal authorities any pet that runs at large on school property and any pet owner whose animal is present on school property is in violation of this policy.
 
The use of service dogs are permitted per ADA requirement

The Burlington Township Foundation is looking for Board members for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is the last year for all of the current board members, and without a Foundation Board, all Family Associations and subgroups will not be able to operate.

Substitute Teachers and Nurses Wanted


The District is in need of substitutes!
If you have 60 college credits and are interested in working with students, we want to hear from you. Consider applying to be a substitute teacher.  All applicants should   CLICK HERE  to use  Frontline Education (formerly Applitrack)   to apply online for substitute positions.  If you need additional information, call Laura Roberson at 609-387-3955 ext. 2076.

If you are a college student who has finished the semester and are already on our sub list, please reactivate through sub-finder. If you have any difficulty please contact Mrs. Roberson.

If you know someone who is a retired teacher, certificated teacher, or who has 60 college credits, please share this information with them.  This is a great opportunity for college students to work during their days off and during breaks.  Please be sure to share this with college students or recent college grads you know.  Daily subs will be paid $95 a day and if you are in the same position for 6 days straight the rat e will go to $100 a day. We provide training and support!

Substitute Rates:
Substitute Teachers:   $95 a day for the first 5 days in the 
                                     same assignment.
                                     $100 a day for days 6 -19 in the same 
                                     assignment.
Substitute Nurses:      $205 day
Substitute Secretary:  (60 credits) $13.57 Per hour
                                      (> 60 credits) $12.90 Per hour

We encourage our parents to remind their children about the importance of wearing their seat belts when riding our school buses. The District values your child(ren)'s safety and ask that our parents remember to consistently have conversations about safety measures for riding the school bus in the morning and afternoon.
