How did you find out about the coop?
I think our first exposure to the coop was from an advertisement in a local magazine. But what really got us excited was when we started to see construction taking place on the building. Once we saw this we knew that it was really going to happen and that we needed to be part.

What do you love most about the coop?
The people are great. They create a great environment, and as members, my wife and I really feel like a part of the process. Our comments and requests (as well as those from other members) are always considered and appreciated. We know this because throughout the months we've seen the store evolve and improve constantly. It's so cool to see how it happens.

What are your favorite products sold in the coop? We definitely enjoy the produce and bulk foods products the most. We both appreciate the commitment the coop has to selling local, organic foods whenever possible so we love supporting the cause.

We are moving into fall and all schools will be in session. With fall there are many local events and much football. We will also look forward to some cooler weather.

Your Co-op will look forward to supplying your party needs ranging from snacks to beer.

The Peach season is now winding down and your Co-op did sell several thousand pounds of peaches from our local sources. We want to thank our suppliers and customers for the support of our community.

We have had a great turn out for our member days, which are the first and third Wednesday of each month (September will be the 7th and the 21st). We will continue to have tasting events from our suppliers on these days.

We have started the Sunday Brunch, which runs from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. We look forward to increasing the offerings as demand increases. Come down and join us for breakfast and a Mimosa on Sunday morning.

You now have the ability to place special orders on line. Look for the special order tab on the home page.

For those that make the $500.00 club, you will receive a digital gift card. This means that $25.00 has been loaded onto your name. The cashier will see this when you give your name. You have the option of using immediately or any time in the future. You can use all or partial amounts and it will not expire.

If you would like to suggest an idea or a special product, please let someone know or email generalmanager@hubcity.coop

Thanks for all the support.   See you at the Co-op,

Produce Manager
This month we have seen a lot of great local produce moving through our store. Everything from okra and watermelon, to tomatoes and blueberries, have sold thanks to you and your support, thus, putting money right back into your community and your local farms.

One product though has surpassed all the rest in the amount that has been purchased. And that item is? You guessed it: Peaches. In total, so far, we have sold 1,829.13 pounds of local peaches from Belue Farms right here in our store. The season is closing in quickly for peaches, and soon apples will be fresh and ready to purchase, but for the time being, come in and get these delicious and juicy peaches while they last.

When we shop for what we love, it show s. Thanks to everyone's love for local, we are setting the pace for a future to be inspired by. Shopping at your co-op gives you the chance to directly support farmers, farm workers, and the local community that you love.

From the produce department, we'd like to say thank you for making peach season a success. We are looking forward to apple season and spiced cider. See you soon!
