Bay Gardens Resorts Properties & Restaurants Retain Tripadvisor Certificates of Excellence

Bay Gardens Resorts has once again received the prestigious TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for all three of its properties - Bay Gardens Inn, Bay Gardens Hotel and Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa. The 2012 Certificate of Excellence Award honors hospitality excellence and is presented only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews. To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence Award, hotels must maintain an overall rating of 4 or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor.
Both Bay Gardens Inn and Bay Gardens Hotel achieved a 4 star rating, while the Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa received an outstanding rating of 4.5. Trios Caribbean Fusion Restaurant and Hi Tide Restaurant at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa has also earned a rating of 4. Over its 17 year history, Bay Gardens Hotel has long been recognized as one of the Caribbean's premier hotel brands. Never one to rest on its laurels, Bay Gardens Hotel continues to improve its product and is continuing with a $2 million EC renovation that started last year starting with a renovation and modernization of our lobby and continuing with the conversion of several of our Standard Rooms and Croton Suite Adjoining Rooms to more spacious Superior Rooms and Junior Executive Suites with modern furnishings including LCD TVs, clock radios with ipod docking stations and kitchenettes (Junior Suites only).
Bay Gardens Hotel has also improved its wireless internet connection and has enhanced our services to our conference clientele with the addition of a BOSE sound system. Our phased and non-intrusive approach to these renovations has ensured that disruption to our guests' comfort has been minimal.

Bay Gardens Resorts' welcomes Executive Chef Ian Sherlock to The Bay Gardens Resorts Family! The acclaimed award winning Executive Chef left the UK at the age of 18 and has worked in places as diverse as Hong Kong, Dubai, Morocco, Bahrain, Indonesia, Germany, Thailand and the Caribbean, which has given him a broad insight to the delicate flavours of international and Caribbean cuisine.
His wonderful creations are heavily influenced by his love of the natural outdoors, road trips on his bike through Asia and the Middle East and bush camping with locals in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, China and of course St. Lucia.  For our Recipe of the Month, Bay Gardens Beach Resort's new Executive Chef Ian Sherlock is offering up a Caribbean Twist on a traditional Italian dish.
Gnocchi (pronounced nyawk-kee) is a cross between a dumpling and a pasta dish usually made from potatoes, semolina and flour and often served with a sage butter sauce or other pasta sauce. Sounds delicious but we are in the Caribbean of course and in keeping with Trios Caribbean Fusion's theme of mixing the best of the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, Chef Sherlock used locally grown pumpkin to create a Charred pumpkin Gnocchi with roasted Tomato & Walnut Vinaigrette.
This is just one of many dishes now being added to our revamped Trios dining menu which now includes new creations such as Aromatic Ox-tail Soup with Ginger & Breadfruit Dumplings, Crispy Snapper in a light Soya Truffle Vinaigrette, Pumpkin Mash & Saut�ed Chinese Greens and Avocado & Ginger Cr�me Brulee.
