Parish Council's Responsibility is to serve as an advisory council to the Parish Pastor. Representatives are responsible for providing a dialogue between the parishioners and the Parish Pastor. Parish council, as directed by the Pastor, is encouraged to participate with the Pastor in the decision-making process of the Parish; furthermore, they are accountable for the implementation of such decisions and policies.

Dear Parents,         
 
     It's hard to believe that Lent is just under a week away!  During this Lenten season the students and teachers will be on a journey of "Fasting and Feasting".  We have a daily schedule of activities planned for each week of Lent.  We will also, in conjunction with the parish, have a bi-weekly Lenten Almsgiving collection.  Please be on the lookout for a flyer to come home (see below) with all of the details for our "Fasting and Feasting" schedule and a list of the agencies and their requested items.  We hope that you will join us in this Journey!

SPEECH AMBASSADORS 2018
"Speech is the voice of the heart"

The St. Veronica Parish School Speech Ambassadors have concluded their very successful speaking "season" and they are now part of a proud tradition begun in 1984 by Sister Teresa Mitchell.  This year's team presented at St Louis School, Owensville;
St Augustine School, Covington;
St Bernadette, Amelia; Immaculate Heart of Mary, Cincinnati; the New England Club, Cincinnati; and STV Parents Night here at the Parish Ministry Center.  With each venue, the Speech Team took their performances to an even higher level of excellence.  As Sister Delouise Menges said, "What a great life-changing experience it has been for these young people!"

St. Veronica 4 th Annual
Chili Cook -Off  
Saturday, February 24, 2017 - 5pm-8pm
 
     Fr. David has graciously accepted the invitation to emcee the evening! Please join in a fun evening of good food and fellowship with other parishioners!

     Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 5-14, with a maximum of $25.00 for the family. Each person will receive a soup mug and spoons will be available. Admission will be reduced by $1.00 each if you bring your mug from previous years.

     Beverages of water and coffee (regular and decaf) will be provided. Soda will be available for purchase.  All other beverages will be BYOB.
 
     There will be 6 categories of chili to taste and enjoy! Entertainment will be provided. A band will be playing during the evening and all Chili entries will be eligible for the People's Choice Award"! A split the pot and gift card raffle will be available as well.
 
     The St. Veronica Outreach Commission will be the recipient of all funds raised which will be donated to Inter-Parish Ministries in Newtown to stock their Mobile Food Pantry. The Mobile Pantry will be on site at St Veronica this summer.
 
     A Sign-Up Genius has been created to volunteer for set up, clean up and accompaniments for the chili (cheese, onions, crackers, etc.).  Donations will also be accepted for appetizers, desserts and gift card donations.
