Week of October 10-17

Newsletter #8

Happy Sunday, all...
May we relish in the sunshine!
We hope that our families and friends came through Hurricane Matthew unscathed!

Sometimes, it is the unexpected, unplanned times of "togetherness" that bring the most joy and comfort.  I have heard "Matthew" stories -- of grandparents joining their children and grandchildren, spending time together, playing games, enjoying each others' company, and "reconnecting!"

The bad thing that happens today could be paving the way for the good things that happen tomorrow. Trust the process!  ~ Mandy Hale

We will all be glad to get back to our normal routines tomorrow.  We will continue with plans to observe our Fall Break, Friday, October 14th - Tuesday, October 18th.    We planned in advance for "hurricane/inclement weather days" and therefore have extra school days built into our calendar.   At this time, unless we have additional hurricane days, we will not need to make up days missed due to Hurricane Matthew.

Have a wonderful week!

Our awesome Ambassadors visited the Christian Service Center with Hungry to Help, led by Ms. Martinez and Mr. Courson.

6th Grade students, Lilly and Sarah, led an outreach effort "Birthday Party Bash" for Ms. Martinez's class.  They created 225 birthday cards for the Foundation for Foster Children.
