Through the Eyes

Have you ever wondered how investment decisions are made for United Way programs? Our Community Impact volunteers meet year-round to learn about community needs and to evaluate programs. In the upcoming issues of our newsletter we will take a look at the investment process through the eyes of Leah Shapiro, a United Way volunteer in our Strengthening Families Impact Area. Stay tuned!

United Way's PATH is a Leader for School-Based Mental Health Services

In the past six years, United Way's PATH (Providing Access to Healing) for Students has provided 830 students with school-based mental health therapy and has expanded to serve ten school districts in the Fox Cities. PATH's success has not gone unnoticed. United Way Fox Cities has become a leader in the relatively new arena of providing school-based mental health services. (Read about PATH's success)

Supporting Future Generations

United Way Fox Cities is helping children enter school ready to learn and providing safe, quality and affordable care for children and youth. Each year, nearly half of children age six and under in the Fox Cities are served by a United Way-funded program and over 5,800 youth benefit from afterschool programs supported by United Way. Recently, we awarded two $150,000 grants to support new and expanding efforts in our community. (Read about the Community Early Learning Center and the new Boys and Girls Club in Menasha)
