The Metro Richmond Exports Initiative (MREI) and the City of Hopewell welcomed business leaders from all over the Richmond Metro Area to the Beacon Theatre on Tuesday to discuss exporting and its benefits for the region. At their second Lunch & Learn event, industry experts and companies already exporting gave presentations focused on international trade finance and the options available for payment, risk mitigation and financing.

As 2017 begins, work on the much-anticipated Boathouse at City Point is picking up speed.
Although demolition and site preparation began in late September, construction "really is going to start in earnest right now," restauranteur Kevin Healy told The Progress-Index on Jan. 3.

Building off of the existing foundation that supported long-time dining mainstay the Navigator's Den, owned by Haralambos Papanicolaou, work has so far focused on slightly expanding the building's square footage and framing the new additions.
