Doodle 4 Google
Calling all budding artists! This week, students brought home a letter that talks about the Doodle 4 Google contest along with a contest entry form. Mrs. Fisher talked about the contest with each grade during Technology this week and then had them brainstorm some of their ideas for the future of our world. They are quite excited about the contest! Here’s the scoop:

  • The contest is sponsored by Google and is open to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • This contest is completely optional.
  • Students who wish to enter may complete their doodle at home; no class time will be allotted.
  • The theme for this contest is “What I see for the Future…”
  • Contest entries are due by December 2, 2016.
  • Parents may submit entry forms to Google by December 2, or students can bring them to Mrs. Fisher by 8:15 am on November 22.
  • Entry forms are attached to the parent letters and consist of a paper with the outline of the word “Google” in the middle and gray boxes below for collecting student information.
  • One national winner will receive: Their doodle on Google.co, a$30,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 Google for Education technology award for their schoo, a trip to Google Headquarters, a Chromebook, an Android tablet
  • Prizes will also be given to state winners and finalists.
