PETERSBURG - It was an impressive scene at the newly renovated Petersburg Farmers Market last night as the highly anticipated restaurant opened its doors for the first time. Empty for many years, the historic Farmers Market completed its drastic turnaround as residents enjoyed its vintage look and farm-to-table menu.

"It's exciting," restaurant manager Michael Cosgrove said as guests mingled at the 36-seat bar behind him. "The work they put into the building - architecturally wise, it's an icon of Petersburg. People can now come in and see it and enjoy it, and have some food. It's real exciting."
