Easy Money: The BPA Mattress Fundraiser is only 2 days away, Saturday, June 2nd, 10 am - 5 pm in the Commons at Ballard High School. Tell your friends and family. Groups in Washington have been raising thousands of dollars with this event.

Performing Arts Clean Up Day: While you are at Ballard High School buying a new mattress with your friends, why not stop by and help clean the classrooms after a year of performances? Seriously, even if you don't buy a mattress, the directors need your help. Sign up HERE.

The Boosters Club fuels Ballard Performing Arts: We need helpers.  BPA Booster positions still available for '18-'19

BPA On the Air:  Radio host Elaine Womack of station KBFG 107.3FM is covering BPA events. Her show "Exit Stage Left" highlights local performing arts programs and airs  Wednesdays at 6 pm and Fridays at 8 am weekly.  Recently she recorded a PSA for the Spring Concerts and now she is covering the Fiddle Showcase.Thank you to Elaine for media coverage!

Ballard Market Receipts: Please turn in the receipts you have saved. The upcoming Spring Concerts are great times, when the little slips of paper won't get 'lost' on the way to school. We've passively earned up to $2K in years past.

5th Annual Fiddle Showcase at the Ballard Homestead: Friday, June 8th, featuring the Warren G Hardings at 7pm, student call time is 6 pm.  Square dancing to follow. No experience necessary, all dances taught.

Congratulations: Thank you to all performers on a stunning Spring Orchestra Concert and to the soloists: McKenna Taylor, Leander Van de Fen and Anika Thomas, and especially orchestra seniors. Band Audition Sign Up: With our rapidly growing program, we are excited to announce the addition of a third band next year, the Concert Band! While no audition is needed for Concert Band, auditions are required for placement in either Symphonic or Wind Ensemble.  

Time slots are filling up fast, so be sure to sign up here for your specific audition date and time between June 5th and June 14th. Audition packets were distributed in class or are available from Mr. James.

We Are Going to Disneyland: Members of the 2018-2019 Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will experience the magic of Disney in April 2019. Workshops with Disney musicians, performances in the parks, and 3-Day Park Hopper passes are just a few of the items included in the estimated $1100 trip cost. More details will be announced soon. 

Parents/Guardians...Do you want to join the fun for at a reduced cost? Contact Jen Witeck today as we need 6 male and 6 female volunteers to make this trip happen.

Spring Band Concert and Senior Night: Join us Thursday, June 7th, at 7:30 pm for the final concert of the year. Help us celebrate an incredible year for the Band program and say goodbye to our Seniors. 

Rehearsal dates for the Spring Concert:
TODAY, May 31st, 3:45 pm - 4:15 pm (Wind Ensemble / Percussion)
Tuesday, June 5th, 3:45 pm - 4:15 pm (Symphonic Band / Percussion)

All Seniors and Symphonic Band members, as well as Percussionists not participating in the Graduation ceremony, will return their concert attire after the performance. Please bring a change of clothes with you to the concert. Volunteers are needed to help with the return process.  

URGENT - Marching Band Uniform Coordinator(s) Needed: Our Marching Band is looking for Uniform Coordinator(s) to keep us looking sharp at performances. The coordinator is supported by a team of volunteers during fittings, alterations, uniform distribution and returns. Grab a friend and volunteer together! The main time commitments are from mid-August through the end of football season, with one performance in February and the Ballard Parade in May. Please contact Jen Witeck for more information.
