IR Messaging During Political Backlash
As a result of the recent U.S. elections, Mexican stocks took a beating like no other in 4Q16-1Q17. Donald Trump, the most unlikely of contenders for the U.S. presidency, took the title and the markets reacted. The general outlook was not positive. This was a president who promised to protect U.S. jobs at any cost, even if that meant pulverizing the thriving Mexican maquila region. Trump also boldly vowed to build a wall to separate the two countries, a wall that he swore would be paid for by Mexico. Furthermore, in order to strengthen trade competitiveness, he threatened to withdraw the U.S. from NAFTA and spread heavy tariffs on Mexican products.

Immediately, the dollar soared, weakening the peso as well as many other currencies in the region. It seemed as though Mexican industry and its immigrants were on the front lines as Trump attacked...

Arca Continental Analyst Breakfast 2017 - NYC

Arca Continenta (AC) hosted an analyst breakfast at the New York Palace hotel in New York City. During the event, management presented their new entity called Southwest Beverage through which they will operate the franchise in the states of Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico and parts of Oklahoma. This transaction allows AC to become the first foreign bottler to operate a Coca-Cola franchise in the U.S.

Arca Continental is the second-largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America and one of the largest in the world. Within its Coca-Cola franchise territory, the company currently serves approximately 89 million consumers throughout Northern and Western Mexico as well as Ecuador, Peru and Northern Argentina.

Fibra Inn - a Mexican trust formed primarily to acquire, develop, operate and rent a broad range of hotel properties in Mexico aimed at the business traveler - held its 2017 Investor Day at the Intercontinental Hotel in Mexico City. The event included topics such as Value Creation via profitable sales of assets, intelligent investment with innovations and organic growth, as well as Guidance 2017 and Relevant Financial Figures for 2016. Presentations and Q&A session were conducted by Chief Executive Officer - Mr. Oscar E. Calvillo, Chief Financial Officer - Mr. Miguel Aliaga and Chief of Acquisitions & Development Officer - Mr. Fernando Rocha.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico Investor Day 2017 - Mexico City
(NYSE: PAC, BMV: GAP) - March 29, 2017
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP), a Mexican airport operator headquartered in Guadalajara, hosted its annual Investor Day at the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). The event, titled On the Right Track, featured presentations and Q&A session conducted by top management, including Mr. Fernando Bosque - Chief Executive Officer, Mr. José Angel Martinez - Operating Technical Officer, Mr. Tomás Ramírez - Commercial Director and Mr. Saúl Villarreal - Chief Financial Officer. Topics, ranging from 2017 strategic outlook, 2016 financial highlights and developments in aeronautical and commercial revenues offered the audience a wide perspective of GAP's current and future position.  That morning, GAP also rang The Opening Bell at the BMV and met with key financial media outlets throughout Mexico.
 
Moreover, the night previous to the event, the company hosted a welcome cocktail and dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City for buy-side and sell-side analysts.
