Library
Prayers classes will be offered during this winter 2018 Sunday School (January 7 through March 4, 2018). Join us for “Praying for Others.” This introductory class will help equip students to intercede on behalf of those who need healing prayer. The objective is to strengthen our relationship with God through deeper prayer, while learning more about praying for others. The course is based on Christian Healing Ministries, School of Healing Prayer, Level 1, supplemented with tons of additional reference material and information. Texts will cost students $15. If you have any questions or want to learn more, please contact Ellen Wright at dgemwright@charter.net or 509-851-2291.
DINNERS 6+2
Once again it is time to sign up for Dinners for 6 + 2. Here’s how this fellowship activity works: you sign up in January, and dinners are held in homes, once each month, for the months of February, March, and April. You will be provided a list of the 6 people who will be meeting each month (a different list each month). The host/hostess is responsible for inviting 2 more people to join your group. Everyone brings a part of the meal. The host/hostess provides the main dish and the others provide either a dessert or salad. You will host one time. Groups have met for brunches and lunches, or whatever works for everyone. Since you dine with different people each month it is a great way to get to know your church family. This activity is for singles as well as couples. Look for the sign up on the Narthex table. Please sign up by January 21 to allow time to prepare the group assignments.

Terrific Start to the 2018 Blood Drives!
Our blood drives for 2018 started off great! We had 29 donors who gave 21 pints at our January 11 Red Cross blood drive in the First Pres Center. About a quarter of those came from our own First Pres members! Thanks to all who donated!

Special thanks to those who donated desserts, chili, baked potato fixings, and/or volunteered their time and organizational skills to make the drive go so well: Liz Aguayo, Karen Belzer, Tim and Sherry Bennett, Debbie Bilodeau, Norris Clark, Jeanie Colvin, Carol Parsons, Pat Gordon, Gwen Rawlings, and Joe Whalen. We couldn’t do these drives without your generous support and time. Thank you so much!

Mark your calendars for the other 2018 blood drives at First Pres: March 15, May 10, July 13, and September 13.
