Greetings!

Welcome to the third edition of the 'The Runner...' e-newsletter from Military Research UK.

2013 has been incredibly busy here at Research Towers... Our first kindle book 'World War One: A Layman's Guide' has been selling brilliantly (thank you to everyone who has purchased a copy and left reviews!). We have also been added loads more infographics to our WW1 App as well as uncovering loads of family heroes... Below is a snapshot of some of the recent highlights, we hope you like them!

15 Victoria Cross Facts
Blog post showcasing some interesting snippets of VC history
VC

During the research for a group of VC infographics we have done, we have come across loads of interesting little nuggets of information on the Victoria Cross. We thought it would be good to put together a little list of some of them - So, in no particular order, here are some WW1 VC facts!!

More Infrographics added to iOS/Android app
32 new graphics - covering Rifles, Trench Weapons and the VC added
2 VC's infographic

Over the last few weeks we have been busy developing many new infographic updates to our popular 'The Great War 100' app for iOS and Android. 32 new graphics have been uploaded recently covering Trench Weapons, Rifles, and the Victoria Cross.

If you have already purchased the app, these would have appeared automatically as a free update. To see what all the fuss is about search for The Great War 100 in either the Google Market Place or the Apple App store. We plan another update in March...

GW100 Slideshare
Military Research on Slideshare

Here at Research Towers we have been playing with Slideshare.net a new(ish) social media site that allows users to upload powerpoint slide decks for people to view and download. In January we uploaded a slidedeck talking about our 'The Great War 100' infographics project and it attracted over 60,000 views in only a few weeks. Check out the slidedeck for yourself at the below url:

That's about it for this edition of The Runner... I hope you have enjoyed reading it and found something of interest! Until next time....
