The Spruce Grove Chamber needs Your Help
This Chamber relies heavily on revenue generated from our Community Directory. As the face of our Community Directory is changing from print to online, it has never been more important than now to support and advertise with your Chamber.  At the same price as advertising in our directory alone, you will be listed in an *enhanced (see below) format on our website, in our community app which lists businesses, hot deals, local events, and local job postings.

Here Is What We Can Do For You:
1
The Spruce Grove Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization that exists primarily to represent and promote the interests of its member businesses. Many chambers of commerce, especially those organized at the local level, also work to develop and deepen local relationship networks to promote business activity and business-to-business exchanges. We also commonly engage in charitable activities that focus on local needs.
2
The Spruce Grove & District Chamber of Commerce is essential to the economic growth of our community; through making introductions, facilitating projects, maintaining data on the areas served and their economic climates and keeping abreast of pending development projects.
3
As a Chamber we use our influence to further business and commercial interests, especially if the government or laws threaten to impede the community's business interests. Appropriately, many consider our ability to influence government and elected officials one of its most important functions. Furthermore, SGCC has an interest in building and promoting local businesses in the hopes that the success of the business leads to prosperity in our community. In other words, this chamber is an advocate of the community at large.
4
We also circulate information about local and federal laws that affect community business. This indicates that monitoring regulatory activity that impacts local business is another primary function. In addition to gathering information, the Spruce Grove & District Chamber of Commerce also offers our members tips on how to manage their businesses, especially in regards to regulatory changes.

SUPPORT YOUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE  & don't miss your chance to promote your business as we connect your label with customers through our Directory, our Website and our Community App! *Through your enhanced business directory listing, you receive:

*  1600 Character Web Description
*  200 Character Search Results Summary
*  100 Character Hours of Operation
*  200 Character Driving Directions
*  5 Additional Bulleted Description

Why companies are freezing salaries (with employee consent)
Many workplaces are choosing to dial back salaries - but how do you

Many approached staff and got them onboard with the move before making it. And Alison McMahon, CEO of Edmonton-based human resources consultancy TwoFold, says it's not that hard to do. It just requires clear, complete communication. "The employer has to be as open and honest as possible," she says.
