Put your 40's outfit on and come to the Orinda Theater on 12/29 for a night to remember: this is the 75th anniversary of the historic landmark so many residents fought so hard to preserve. For .50c (the cost of a tickets back then) you'll be treated to a re-enactment of the evening of 12/29 1941 when Donald Rheem opened the theater.

New Year - New City Council
  city logo
The business community thanks Victoria Smith for 12 years serving Orinda on the City Council. Victoria was always a great business supporter. She was instrumental in establishing a renovation plan of the city's infrastructure that benefits the business community, she was part of the efforts to support business-recycling programs, and she supported the creation of a parking study that should also benefit downtown businesses. She was very present at chamber events and she will be missed.

Last time I highlighted the Chamber Holiday Party scheduled for December 8. And, what a party it was! -- music, food, wine, dance, and décor, décor, décor at Hilton House. Dante and Danielle were serving appetizer samples from Taverna Pelligrini, Hilton House provided lots of snack items, and all was accompanied by fine wines provided by the Chamber.

And, just a quick reminder to save the date for the Orinda Trivia Bee scheduled for the evening of Good Friday, April 14, 2017. Sixteen teams of up to 6 enthusiastic players will vie to wrest the title from two time defending champions, Breedlove Insurance. More about this on the Chamber web site shortly.
