This is the happy time of the year again when the Farmers' Market comes back to Orinda Way, marking the beginning of Spring. This year the market will have kids activities and music every week, making it a perfect Saturday morning family outing. New vendors have been retained by Contra Costa Farmers Market Inc. such as Mexican sweet breads, a local olive oil company from Vallejo, Hanna Seafood guaranteed sashimi grade, and new organic farmers. There is an opportunity for business sponsors and non-profit tables at the market (see below). Don't miss the ribbon cutting on April 1st! It will be fool-proof.

Your Chamber continues to meet with the city and its consultants as it works on looking at options for downtown development. We are also advocating for business-friendly parking and banner policies. Get in touch to be heard!

Have you supported a fellow chamber member lately? Look for our members' announcements: Mc Donnell Nursery, Orinda Books, Orinda Theater are featured here. It is also time to mark your calendar for the Orinda Community Foundation's Action Day on April 22.

Sudden changes this past weekend seem to suggest that Spring has arrived. Warm weather, day upon day without rain, and extra evening daylight all arrived at once, much to the relief of many who had grown weary of winter. Now what? Well, for us it's a season to renew friendships, share hopefulness, and get busy making life better for our community.
