February Newsletter

Dear Friends & Supporters,

In recognition of Black History Month, I thought it a fitting moment to share a wonderful quote by Dr. Charles R. Drew, a pioneering African-American medical researcher who made some groundbreaking discoveries in the storage and processing of blood for transfusions. Dr. Drew said,

"Excellence of performance will transcend artificial barriers created by man."

Let us remember that we are empowered individuals who are equipped to tear down barriers-both real and imaginary-and use the examples of such pioneers as Dr. Charles R. Drew as examples.

Let me know which African-American pioneer inspires you; we just may feature you in our next newsletter!
