LV Grizzlies Pop Warner featured in museum exhibit
The La Vernia Grizzlies Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Association is currently the focus of a featured exhibit at the La Vernia Heritage Museum. The association, established in 1997, became a new organization in 2008, the La Vernia Grizzlies
Youth
Sports Association. The exhibit includes a display of memorabilia, a slide show, and a free booklet about the history of the initial organization. The exhibit will run through the summer. The museum is located on the corner of Hwy 87 and Bluebonnet, in the former La Vernia fire station. It is open by appointment and on the first and third Sundays of the month from Noon to 3pm. New Mural at the La Vernia Heritage Museum
Gaze awhile into a busy day in 1909 when Chihuahua Street was bustling with activity! Life was busy as people, buggies, horses and Model T's and at least one dog filled the street. This detailed photo by Candelario Alegria is now the new attention-grabbing mural in the center of La Vernia, thanks to a generou$ donation from the San Antonio River Authority.
