As individuals, we are more in tune with our bodies than anyone else, so feeling like we cannot control muscles or functions can be frustrating. One common hindrance is found in the muscles that make up the pelvic floor, the area surrounding the pelvis and its adjacent organs. From mild aches to more severe discomforts that can affect everyday life, there are many ways to strengthen and treat these ailments to regain optimal function.
The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AGOG) has a great resource for teens. It gives information on everything from common health concerns to birth control and teen pregnancy.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is offering advice on travel guidelines for South Florida. Travel to Florida during pregnancy is currently not recommended.
