From your Missionary
“And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” Luke 2:7

It seems as we approach this season every year that we are involved in a lot of busyness. It is easy to focus on other things and not keep Jesus first. The above scripture simply said that there was no room for them. No vacancy. I trust that we don’t get to busy and we don’t crowd Jesus out and forget that He is the reason why we even have Christmas. It takes an active daily choice to always put Christ first, especially in a culture that’s always seems to keep us busy and our focus gets blurred and the most important thing gets pushed aside. May God help us to choose wisely, what voices we listen to, and where and who we give our attention. Christ is the one who brings true meaning to Christmas and brings real peace in this all-too-hectic season. I pray that we can all slow down and truly worship Him and realize that He is worthy of our time and attention!
It is also my prayer that as we begin a new year real soon, that we will make a commitment to reach more people with the Gospel. I really believe God is going to do some great things in 2018 and I am looking forward to what God has in store for our churches. I am already looking ahead and anticipating ways that I can help our pastors and our churches next year. I am fully committed to how God will use me as your missionary to come along side you and encourage all of us to be more intentional in evangelism and discipleship. May God help us to stay focused on Him not only during the Christmas season but also as we begin a new year. May God be glorified in all that we do for the Kingdom!

Arabi Baptist Church hosted their second-annual 30-30 Ministries Deer Camp the weekend of Nov. 17-19. Six youth and their parents spent the weekend at the church hunting, eating and fellowshipping. The entire weekend was centered around the Gospel, which was presented through a series of devotionals and also during a special Camo Sunday worship service on Sunday, Nov. 19. During the 30-30 Ministries Deer Camp, four deer were taken, and more importantly, two first-time decisions to follow Jesus were made.
Pastor John Evans guided James Johnson, 13, of Eatonton, on a successful hunt.
Eight deer were taken at the fourth-annual 30-30 Ministries Deer Camp hosted by Harmony Baptist Church. The Camp took place at Redhawk Planation the weekend of Nov. 17-19, and all hunting took place on private hunting tracts in Dooly and Pulaski counties. Like all 30-30 Ministries camps, a series of devotionals took place throughout the weekend, and the Camp was wrapped up with a Camo Sunday at Harmony Baptist.
Georgia West, 11, Social Circle, took this fine buck in Dooly County while attending the 30-30 Ministries Deer Camp hosted by Harmony Baptist Church and Redhawk Plantation.

A gun is randomly given away at each 30-30 Ministries camp as an incentive to get youth and their adult chaperones to attend the devotionals throughout the weekend. This year's gun winner was Blain Hutchens, 13, of Cochran.
