FAFSA/WASFA Filing Season
Applying for financial aid ensures students have all opportunities available to them upon graduation. Regionally, we have a goal of supporting 80% of seniors in completing financial aid (WASFA/FAFSA).Figuring out how to pay for college can be stressful, and there are many students with unique situations that are complex and difficult to navigate. The Puget Sound College & Career Network will be offering a variety of trainings for counselors, college access providers and others to help students navigate the world of financial aid, for both FAFSA and WASFA applications. Learn more information about these trainings.

Both FAFSA and WASFA require students and families to submit personal information which can cause concern for them. It is important to remember that any information supplied on your financial aid applications is covered under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA 1974), which prohibits schools from providing any outside agency - including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - with any information from a student's school file.
