Next Gen USA
is excited to announce the creation of Next Gen Coaches Club, a national initiative to further develop soccer coaching education in the United States. The program is aimed at:
- Making coach education more accessible and affordable to grassroots volunteer coaches
- Providing high school aged students with the opportunity to become youth coaches and community leaders
“In order to develop young players, we must invest in developing grassroots coaches. We are excited about the potential impact of Next Gen Coaches Club to support volunteer coaches and develop the next generation of youth coaches from across the country.” Tony Williams Next Gen USA Director of Youth Development
Next Gen Coaches Club will be directed by Ryan Hodgson, co-founder of US Coaches Club, an organization that provided modular based coach education to over 3,500 grassroots coaches across the country. Ryan is a NSCAA National Staff instructor and an accomplished coach educator with UEFA coaching licenses, and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma.
“Ninety-seven percent (97%) of coaches in America are either volunteers or part time coaches with real jobs. These are moms and dads who coach because they love the game, and love working with kids. Next Gen Coaches Club believes it is essential to provide these coaches and organizations with specific educational support and resources needed to create inspiring learning environments, which both challenges and nurtures the talent & leadership skills of their players.” Ryan Hodgson Next Gen Coaches Club Director of Coaching Education
Next Gen Coaches Club looks forward to working in collaboration with grassroots clubs, leagues and youth soccer organizations across the country. The aim is to make coaching education more convenient and accessible by delivering it in bite size modules to coaches at their clubs or local communities without the need for excessive travel. Coaches will have the ability to earn nationally recognized coaching certifications.
