On Sunday, January 30, at 9:00 am, the Southern California Kendo Federation will be holding the Kubota Memorial Tournament at the Dee Hardison Sports Center located in Wilson Park of Torrance, 2400 Crenshaw Ave, Torrance, CA 90501.

The tournament, which is held every 3 years, is in memory of Yutaka Kubota Sensei  (1898 - 1990) . He was one of the pioneers of Kendo in the United States and also helped establish Kendo in Southern California.
