"In service to the people of Northern Wisconsin" is the very first phrase in Nicolet's mission statement. Those eight words set the course for everything we do.
While it's well know Nicolet is a great place to earn a college education that can lead to a good paying job, it's important to note that college activities and the opportunities they create include and extend beyond core credit classes. The stories to the right bear this out.
A huge congratulations goes to the class of 2016 Nursing graduates. Every one of them passed the national exam to become a certified registered nurse. It's heartening to know these individuals will provide quality care as they secure employment in area health care facilities.
Every year the college's Fire Training and Emergency Medical Services programs serve hundreds of volunteer firefighters and first responders. These individuals look to Nicolet to advance their skills in order to provide emergency assistance to residents in their time of need.
The recent Run to Remember in Honor of Kory Dahlvig helped preserve the legacy of the fallen law enforcement officer and Nicolet graduate. It also raised scholarship funds to assist others training for Criminal Justice careers at Nicolet.
Smoothing the transition for veterans from military to civilian life is another focus for the college. We welcome back David Chrisinger, an expert in this field, for a Hire Up event to offer insight to employers and education professionals to help veterans be successful.
For art enthusiasts, every year Nicolet holds the Northern National Art Competition. Professional artists from throughout the country submit works. Only the finest pieces make it into the exhibit.
