Nik Turley and Kyle Roller Selected to the FSL Post-Season All-Star Team
Two Tampa Yankees make 2012 FSL All-Star Team

 

 

Tampa, FL - The Florida State League All-Star Team for 2012 was announced by League President Chuck Murphy. The team was selected by Field Managers, Official Scorers, and club Sports Writers representing the twelve (12) teams in the league.

 

Nik Turley was selected as a pitcher to the 2012 FSL All-Star Team. Turley currently leads the league with a 3.05 ERA. He has an 8-5 record in 22 games. He struck out 110 batters (fourth in the league) in 106.1 innings pitched.   Turley pitched one complete seven-inning game this season on July 23rd, 2012. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 50th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.

 

Kyle Roller was selected as the designated hitter for the 2012 FSL All-Star Team. Roller currently sits second in the league with 18 homeruns, and third in the league with 81 RBI. He compiled 192 Total Bases in 115 games while maintaining a .269 average. Roller was selected by the New York Yankees in the eighth round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of East Carolina University.
