Niklas Sivelöv is a unique artist. Whether performing an intimate solo concert or a concerto with a large symphony orchestra, Mr. Sivelöv always keeps his audience spellbound, because when he enters the stage it is a matter of all or nothing.
Born in Sweden to Finnish/Russian ancestors, Niklas Sivelöv is gaining worldwide recognition through his many recordings and playing in halls worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall, Barbican Centre, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Tonhalle Zurich, E. Granados Hall in Spain, Atheneum in Bucharest, Stockholm Concert House.
Niklas has collaborated with many artists to include E-P Salonen, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Kristjan Järvi, Paavo Berglund, Alan Gilbert, Thomas Dausgaard, Martin Fröst, Mark Peskanov, and many more.
Complete list
"Art is created - life is lived - in the present, without a thought of tomorrow".
... this is how Sivelöv expresses his artistic credo, which confirms that he is indeed a romantic artist. Robert Schumann and Aleksander Skriabin are among his favourite composers, both of whom challenge boundaries and are barefaced honest in their music. Both are romantics at the mercy of God.
