Create flow and feel the beauty of the Sun Salutations by understanding the principles of each pose within it. This two hour workshop is designed to get you comfortable and able to feel the nuances of each posture of the Sun Salutations, A and B.
Ginny will cover the principles of:
* Active equal standing for safety of lower back and alignment of the spine
* Downward dog pose in a balanced position
* Safe shoulder position in Chaturanga
* Jumping forward and back
* Rolling of feet, lifting of thighs from floor in upward dog for safety of lower back
* Tadaka pose for finding Uddiyana Bandha
* Study of super pose Utkatasana (chair pose)
* Movement of feet to Warrior I
* Ujjayi breath with each movement
* Drishti (gaze point) in each posture and its importance
* Modifications for the movement and poses
