It is 2:05 AM and I am wide awake and ready to preach.
I AWOKE this morning, and YES, I am STILL glad to awake, thinking about what WE do to make the flesh obey and "succeed."
Too much emphasis is placed on "success" - IN THE EYES OF MEN!
Ya see, "THE SERVANT OF THE LORD MUST NOT STRIVE!"
2 Timothy 2:24 (KJV)
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
STRIVE-middle of an apparently primary verb; to
war
, i.e. (figurative) to
quarrel, dispute
:- fight, strive.

Now PLEASE hear me out.
YES, it is good that WE "strive" to be the best we can be and do the best we can do.
It is good to obtain the highest level of education and excellence possible to achieve, BUT there comes a point where WE "HAVING done all, to stand!!!"
Ephesians 6:13 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Call it, if you wish, "the point of diminishing returns!"
WE are our fiercest and worst critics!
I do not like to hear or see my recorded "performances," even though I do learn from them.
I well know and well wish I had done better and always "strive" to do my best.
BUT, dear brethren, even our "BEST" is not enough!!!!
Without God, without the ANOINTING of the Holy Ghost, all is a wasted effort-even though WE did our best and trained our fullest!!??

Stop kicking and critiquing YOURSELF, and PRAY!!!!
PRAY for God's Anointing on what you attempt- "THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS!"
