Step Outside the Box, at the Jewel Box at the YoungArts Campus, and enjoy original music and dance performances by YoungArts alumni. Enjoy tricks and treats at Halloween celebrations in Downtown Miami - from a Pooch Parade to a Spooky Symphony, costume parties to pub crawls and even a Dia De Los Muertos block party at Mary Brickell Village.

Outside the Box

Outside the box

Outside the Box is a new series that will feature FREE performances by YoungArts alumni. Kicking off the series in the first Outside the Box performance on October 25th are YoungArts alumni, Michele de la Reza , Kate Davis, Ernest Baker, Jake Goldbas, Andrew Nemr, Brittanie Brown, Allysen Hooks and Grammy Award nominated musician Dave Eggar. The show will offer a glimpse into the creative process of these world- class performers and a one-of-a-kind piece of art, with the Jewel Box as the inspiration for the spontaneous creation of original music and dance.

 

Outside the Box attendees will enjoy tasty treats from neighborhood food and beverage locales, including JugoFresh, Lulu's and Illegal Bakery, and learn some beneficial yoga moves by Trio Yoga.

Last Call at Tobacco Road

Tobacco Road Closing Party

Over the past century, Tobacco Road has been a speakeasy, a gambling hall, and a storehouse for bootleg booze, surviving raids, economic downturns, and hurricanes. Through it all, the Road has welcomed locals, travelers, and musical legends alike for a cold drink, a juicy burger, and a great time. Now, as the doors close, you're invited to raise a glass at the Last Call of Tobacco Road with a closing party on October 25th from 8pm-5am commemorating a true Miami icon.

Dia De Los Muertos Block Party

Come gather in Mary Brickell Village for a thousand person block party in celebration of the Mexican tradition, Dia De Los Muertos! Experience a party that celebrates the dead with iconic colorful face paint, ofrendas, decorated skulls, lively music, great food, dancing, drinking, and more! The Block Party will feature of live bands, DJs, satellite bars, free food samples from participating restaurants, and free beer from participating bars!

 

Make up artists will be on site at Mary Brickell Village to do your Dia De Los Muertos face paint!

CityBikes Ironman 70.3

*This event features road closures in Downtown Miami*

Every year, triathletes are drawn to the Magic City to conquer the urban landscape and emerge as victors.  The setting is Downtown Miami-a backdrop of skyscrapers amidst the palms, serene waves lapping at the bayside, and warm sunshine peaking through billowing clouds. 

This Sunday, October 26th, IronMan 70.3 offers a unique opportunity to swim in the protected waters of Biscayne Bay, bike from Flagler Street in Downtown to Broward County, and run along the Bayfront while taking in the sights only Miami can provide.

The race starts and ends at Bayfront Park. During the race there will be various detours and street closures in place that will impact traffic in Downtown.
