Smoke and Mirrors
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Named "Critic's Choice" by the Los Angeles Times as "a superb theatrical magic show," Smoke and Mirrors-a heartfelt comedy-drama with mind-bending magic-returns to The Road on Lankershim. Smoke and Mirrors is a poignant yet humorous play packed with magic tricks, elaborate illusions, special effects, improv, audience participation, and spooky Houdini seances. Selznick takes the audience on his healing journey while enlisting the assistance of a life-sized 'Rabbit', 'The Oracle' (a giant talking orb), and Bess Houdini, who makes a rather startling appearance!

Steampunk Sundays at the Actors Forum Theatre in NoHo is a fun magical adventure inside the illusionary realms of storyteller magician Brandon Scott "The Wizard of Wonder." A one of a kind unique theatrical experience in which everything is created from out of thin air. Melissa Arctic
Loosely based on Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale," "MELISSA ARCTIC" is a fiercely dramatic and delightfully romantic play with songs. Two old childhood friends are separated by fear and mistrust until tragedy strikes, setting into motion a series of choices and coincidences that reveal, as one character says, "There are forces at work." Winner of Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding New Play, this magical story of art, redemption and love is the Road's latest collaboration with Craig Wright (TV's Tyrant, Six Feet Under, Lost, United States of Tara, and more).
Down the Road
Down The Road is a penetrating look at how a relationship fares under the influence of a psychopath. A married couple--Dan and Iris Henniman, both writers--team up for a true-crime novel that could make or break both of their respective careers. Face to face with convicted serial killer William Reach, Iris and Dan must each test the limits of his/her own ability to remain objective. In a prison town in the middle of nowhere, they find that there are only two things to focus on: the pressures of home life and the horrors that Bill Reach shares in vivid detail. When their book is finished, who will the real victims be?  More>>

In this searing family drama, Shepard takes a macabre look at a Midwestern family with a very dark secret. Travel back in time to the 1930s with novelist Clifford Bradshaw as he remembers his life in the divinely decadent Kit Kat Klub as if it all took place in a Cabaret in Berlin. He is taken on his journey by the master of ceremonies as he relives his affair with a cabaret singer and his time in a boarding house. All of this is brought about with great songs from this Kander and Ebb masterpiece including "Willkommen" and "Cabaret."

The Tempest

This great romantic comedy has it all: danger, intrigue, politics, revenge, a mighty sorcerer, his beautiful daughter falling deeply in love at first sight, with the handsome prince who is so conveniently shipwrecked near her island home. "The Tempest" still exerts an influence over popular culture four centuries later, ranging from "Forbidden Planet" to "Gilligan's Island " to "Lost."

This new production of is a blend of Shakespeare's original text and excerpts from John Crowther's rendering of the work in contemporary English ("No Fear Shakespeare: The Tempest," Barnes & Noble, 2003). Those members of the audience less familiar with Shakespeare may find this version a welcoming introduction to a joyous classic.
