May 19th- Grandparents & Special Visitors Day for Buds-2nd Grade
We are gearing up for our
4th Annual Grandparents and Special Visitors Day on Friday, May 19th from
9:00 am-12:00 pm.
Your children are getting very excited to welcome their guests and share a glimpse into their school day.
To help us plan appropriately so that the day runs smoothly, it is important that you make sure that your children's guests have registered.
To register now, click here. Registration will close on May 8th so that the committee will have enough time for final arrangements. If your child is not going to have grandparents attend, please arrange instead for a special visitor; an aunt, uncle, family friend or parent to attend. If there are no other visitors available, you may consider an older sibling being the special visitor. Please make those arrangements with their designated school assistant principal either at Yeshivat Noam or their respective school.
We hope that every child will have someone visiting them on this special day. If your child will not have a visitor, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
The link again to register a grandparent or visitor is here.

Gabe previously placed second in his group and was invited to compete in the international competition. Congratulations to Aron Nadler (5th Grade) who also made it to the finals. The 4th Grade boys enjoyed a morning with three IDF lone soldiers who were sent to the USA as Reservists on Duty in the Gideon Project. The soldiers have been traveling the USA to help combat the BDS movement and they wanted their final day in the USA to connect with the local Jewish community. The boys spoke in Hebrew about the IDF and had a training session in Krav Maga.

To The Entire Noam Family:
Aaron, myself and our family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped us out with our situation. From the phone calls and concern to filling our home with toys for the children, pots and pans for our kitchen and more which brought happiness to our children and displayed the true meaning of being a good Jew and helping out others.
More then anything I hope this experience taught our children how special our community, friends and schools are and what the true meaning of being a good person is. There are not enough words to express our gratitude for all that was done.
May Hashem give back to everyone all that is done for others. Tizku L'Mitzvot.

Dear Yeshivat Noam Family, Acts of Chesed have always been an integeral part of our Yeshivat Noam education. There is an inspiring initiative underway, a joint initiative of The Afikim Foundation and Israel's Ministry for Diaspora Affairs, to write a Global Unity Sefer Torah celebrating the 50th Anniversary of a Reunited Jerusalem. Jews everywhere can inscribe letters in the Torah, NOT with money, but with simple acts of chesed. To see more information about this global initiative, please watch this 1-minute video! Since groups may reserve blocks of letters, we've taken the opportunity to reserve a block of 2,000 letters for Yeshivat Noam. The custom link for our school's block can be accessed by clicking here.
You may reserve letters for yourself and/or your entire family as a group. It just takes a minute and you can reserve as many as you'd like. A digital file of all names and deeds will remain permanently with the Torah, which will be dedicated in Jerusalem on May 28, 2017, Yom Yerushalayim. (There's also a Drawing with 3 round-trip tickets to attend the dedication!) The Torah is being donated to ZAKA in Jerusalem, an emergency response and recovery organization that helps set up houses of mourning whenever the unfortunate need arises. Challenge yourself to commit many acts of kindness by May 27th. There is no chesed too small! Check out the jerusalem50.org site for some suggestions. Let's complete the Yeshivat Noam block in the Global Unity Torah and inspire goodness in the world in honor of Jerusalem! (All blue letters are available.) You can go directly to our block here.
If you have any questions, please contact Leora Sulimanoff [email protected]
Tizku L'Mitzvot!
