Dear Neighbors,

Residents have been contemplating the impact of unprecedented development on the 70 acre sites of former Finkl Steel site and other industrial sites in the proposed Lincoln Yards development.

Public open space will ease looming development pressures in our park-starved area in the face of a potential Lincoln Yards daytime population of 50,000 that may now include a 20,000 seat stadium and a large entertainment complex. Not one foot of the proposed redevelopment of the entire North Branch Industrial Corridor is publicly-owned parkland.

Now is the time to urge the City to acquire the site of the proposed North Branch Park Preserve, which includes General Iron and neighboring sites, to create a true public park. Here is a map of the sites.
