Weekly Summary
  • The Department, in conjunction with all Milwaukee County Fire Departments will be displaying air quality flags at all fire stations to better inform the public about the measured air quality in the Milwaukee area. More information can be found here.
  • The Fire Commission met on April 20 and approved the hiring of Joshua Larson and Adam Newville as Firefighters effective May 8. Both positions replace vacancies due to retirements.
  • A kitchen fire on N. Wilson Dr in Shorewood on April 17 caused $5,200 damage to an apartment.
  • Two people were injured in a roll over accident at Birch and Santa Monica in Whitefish Bay on April 18.
  • Truck 82 assisted Milwaukee Fire Department with a second alarm fire in an apartment building at 57th and Hampton Ave on April 18.
  • High-rise fire training continued at 2500 N Mayfair Rd.
