Weekly Update
Weekly Summary
  • Glendale National Night Out was held on August 16. The event had a record turnout and was only hampered by a rain shower towards the end of the evening. This was a great cooperative event between the Glendale Police Department and North Shore Fire/Rescue. We had great feedback from the community! Thank you to those that attended and the fire and police staff that spent countless hours putting this great event together!
  • Chief Whitaker attended the North Shore Chief's Meeting. This is a monthly meeting with the seven North Shore Police Chiefs, the consolidated dispatch center director and the Fire Chief. The group met with the Vice-President of the records management software vendor used by all of the agencies.
  • Assistant Chief Harris attended the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System Operations Meeting for Milwaukee County.
  • The Department continues to meet with Converged Technologies as part of it's transition to a new telephone system.
