Weekly Summary
  • A Swearing In Ceremony for newly promoted Lieutenants Marc Formolo and David Keckeisen will be held February 22 at Station 81 at 4 PM.
  • Chief Whitaker made a presentation on the Department to the Shorewood Citizen's Academy on February 16. The Shorewood Citizen's Academy is a program that allows residents to learn more about the various components of the municipal government and services provided.
  • Members of the Department participated in Brown Deer Elementary School's Lunch and Learn with 4th Grade Students on February 14 and 16. The program pairs the Department Staff Members with a student who's parent could not attend a cooperative learning program where students share what they learned in recent weeks at school.
  • The Department's Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on February 14. The Board approved a change to the Department's Investment Policy and heard a report on an update to the Department's Strategic Plan from Chief Whitaker.
  • The Board of Director's Workgroup on Long Range Financial Planning will meet February 22 to discuss operations and staffing issues.
  • Line level supervisors participated in a supervisor development trainin
  • A kitchen fire at an apartment building in Brown Deer caused damage to the apartment on February 11. No injuries were reported.
  • Two people were injured in a motor vehicle crash at Henry Clay Ave & Lydell Ave on February 14.
  • Two people were injured in a motor vehicle crash at Green Bay Ave & Green Tree Rd on February 15.
