Summer Block Parties

Summer weekends always bring a long list of block parties on our fire station calendars. We attended a block party in Glendale last weekend and we got this great email from a resident:

The CPR training was a hit!!!  Dave did a fantastic job, explaining why this is so important, demonstrated how easy it is to possibly save a life, demonstrated the easy use of the defibrillator (which a lot of people were intimidated by prior to the training) and answered a lot of questions.  Both my husband and I downloaded Pulse Point yesterday as well. Speaking for myself, and several neighbors, this was definitely a great idea...... Plus, the kids had a great time, checking out the ladder and rescue squad!  The crew was very professional and I hope they enjoyed themselves as well!

Thanks again for this great community service!
